had not read. The one that said she was "fabulous." I like a positive post and like to rec a positive post.

5. I noticed yesterday

that just as you cannot rec your own post, you cannot unrec it either. I haven't had the problem you describe though. This whole flap over the new function relates only to the greatest page, a place I rarely go. Some of the posts I like best never make it there.

6. I had that happen today as well!

My guess is skinner has designated someone smarter than me to do my voting . Who knows. Sucks though. Also the fact that total count does not show anymore hence there is no way to see if your unrecommended vote was actually tallied. Just my observations.
