What do you think? Obama gets 70-75% of the Hispanic vote in '12?

1. And the hispanic vote is getting larger and larger...

...and the racist white redneck fuckhead vote keeps shrinking.

7. You Need A Bring-To-Date. Texas Is Very Much In Play Already.

Don't let the moronic governor fool you---Texas is presently right at purple, and is likely to be a blue state in our lifetimes. Population dynamics will make it happen. You might pass that information on to the national Democratic leadership---judging from the way they mishandled Texas in this last election, they're ignorant of circumstances, as well......

3. Interesting strategy to gain votes....
...NOT.

IIRC, the Hispanic population of the US is the largest growing demographic.

What in the hell are these Southern bigot US Senators thinking??

5. That they can win them on religious values
would be my guess. They still have abortion and gay-hatin' to lean on. Plus, I'd venture a guess that they think Hispanics aren't following this.

8. Following this?
You mean the SS nomination hearing?

Boy, in SoCal, everyone of my Hispanic friends ~~ even those with NO political leanings ~~ are glued to their sets today and yesterday.

13. I just supposing
I would think, with their lack of forward thinking, this would be their thoughts. They can't seem to see that they just keep digging the hole deeper for their party...which I'm obviously glad about. I'm waiting for them to get the bright idea to start supporting gay marriage in order to sway the gay vote once they lose the Hispanic vote. Granted, we're not as large as the Hispanic voting bloc but they'll pander to anyone if it serves their agenda.

9. I don't think it's just the hispanic vote.
I think every minority will wonder about the Rethugs. All you see is a bunch of older white men questioning Sotomayor on that side. If I was any minority, I would wonder how I could make it. It may not play as big in other communities, but it will still make a point.

12. Good point, IMO.
I am a straight white female...and the chauvinism displayed toward SS during the hearing by, in particular, Asshole Sessions, I find VERY offensive.

Not that I am really in the minority ~~ except that mostly old white men have been on the SCOTUS and that makes me quite definitely in the minority as to that governmental body.

The issue of women's reproductive rights ~~ that really is offensive that these old white men think they have the final say-so over a woman's body.

14. Fuck these people are stupid...
She was good enough for them as Poppy's appointee, but now that a Democrat wants her on the Supreme Court they're engaging in a bullshit, grasping at straws tactic to stall her nomination.
