This appeared in comments posted to our local paper. It's the first time I've encountered this particular canard. Has anyone seen it elsewhere? Any ideas as to its origins?
"Obama and his youth core program , are a para military type force exactly like the Hitler Youth! They will be trained to rat out everyone and go through peoples trash cans and see if you used the wrong light bulb. They will help get people moved to the FEMA camps, they are the brown shirts!"
(This person, by the way, posts regularly and makes no secret of his hatred for Obama. This particular comment has a construction that is very different from his usual and is lacking in the usual number of misspelled words, suggesting that he 'borrowed' it from someplace.)

months ago? I may be wrong, but I seem to remember threads about her and these types of comments.

2. That's in your paper or posted online? Write to the editor and ask why |

crackpots are given space in the paper. You probably need to subscribe to a better paper.

5. The Obama Youth Corps are so stealthy- no one has ever seen them |
|
-but, like Bigfoot devotees, people don't need even a shred of credible evidence to believe its true.

6. Funny... it includes Bachman's paranoia about light bulbs. |
|
BTW, wouldn't incandescent bulbs in your trash indicate you had switched to the 'correct' light bulbs?

9. That's freakin hilarious! |

This person had no worries of that under bush's rule? Shows how disconnected these people are and how they are so easily baited by the likes of Hannity and Limbaugh.
