Ensign plans to run for re-election
@ 11:59 am by Eric Zimmermann

Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.) has no plans to step down and intends to run for re-election in 2012, the Nevada Republican told the Las Vegas Sun yesterday.

Ensign said he's gotten calls and emails from supporters encouraging him to stay in the Senate despite the messy scandal surrounding his affair with a former staffer.

When asked Monday whether he had any thoughts about stepping down, Ensign said his supporters are sending one message: "They say, 'Don't.'"

"I fully plan on running for reelection," Ensign said late Monday evening. "I'm going to work to earn their respect back."

The two-term Republican senator was back on offense Monday, saying his support is coming from his fellow senators as well as those "on both sides" of Senate leadership.

Ensign said his supporters are telling him, "Keep your head up. This thing will pass."

2. Gifts Keep On Giving...
The hyopcrisy hit parade rolls along. I guess he's been forgiven by Coburn and the rest of the C Street crowd...that's good enough for Johnny Boy. My bets are daddy promised him a wad load of money just to keep him from moving back in.

Somehow do these douchnozzles think that if they "hang tough" or get some kind of forgiveness from some other right wing shitstain, this squares things? Yet another "youthful indiscretion"...now let's move on.

I like how he's citing Democrats as telling him to hang in there...and the fool can't see why?

9. He wants to stay in the C Street house
I guess he doesn't want to get booted from the cool group - regardless of how weird that group of guys is.

I'll gladly follow the campaign in Vegas - there's a lot of mud to be flung!
