if the company doesn't have a branch in your state does not collect sales tax. It's up to the individual to calculate it and send a check to the state. If you order from bestbuy.com, or walmart.com, they can/do charge appropiate taxes for your location. Ordering from say.....(should I? they are a company based in NC. Named for a famous couple) does not charge sales taxes to Florida residents.

That's one of the things here in the capital. People complaining about the state loosing money due to online sales, vs. brick and mortar stores.
