1. I propose they handle them the way NOLA police operate during Mardi Gras
They have a portable jail set up just off Bourbon Street, get in trouble in ya go and there ya stay until after the party is over.

3. Love my NOLA
but I'm just a tad too old and lazy to do Mardi Gras anymore, at least at night. We go down at least once a month to pig out and retail. I say I'm rebuilding NOLA one beer at a time.

9. NOLA is doing quite well
since the storm. Lots more to do in residential areas, but the quarter is very alive and well and last weeks Essence Fest was a record breaker attendance wise. The Saints are here till 2025 and the Super Bowl is coming in 2013. And most residents are looking forward to next year's Mayoral election. Nagin is term limited so the city will have a new Mayor.

5. Because anti-choice forced-birth conservatives are ignored and have no other forums in this country.
:sarcasm:

6. Well, they've gotten basically 0 for their three decades of efforts
So, yeah, even though you're joking, that's how things look to them.

8. But it's not for lack of a forum or for lack of getting their messages out there.
They've got these giant buildings all over town with bells on giant towers, for one thing.

Not to mention an entire "News" channel, plus several "religious" channels.

12. Umm
Yeah... I think you overestimate how many churches are anti-choice in policy; even among the ones that are, few spend much energy on it.

I have lots of pro-life friends; they feel like every time pro-life people are shown in the media (even on Fox) they're made to look like doctor-killing fanatics and misogynists.

14. Pro-life? So they're all against the death penalty and our endless wars? Or are they just
anti-abortion??

17. Yes. Don't let DU's stereotypes sink in
They're anti-war, they're anti-death penalty, they're (most of them) pro-organic-food, fiscally moderate to liberal, anti-poverty, and very very anti-abortion.

I just want to know if he has the look of the usual rabid control freak.

15. It must be very frightening to be around these crazies.
Pretty soon the gallery (or whatever they call it) will have to be enclosed and sound proofed.

These "over the top" people scare the hell out of me - they're liable to do anything to make their point.

16. I believe David Shuster just said his name is Joseph Landry.
I was a bit far from my speaker, but that's what it sounded like to me.
