Here are reasons I thank racist conservatives
If not for their hue and cry during the elections about ACORN, I wouldn't have known much if at all about ACORN. Now I know they are a terrific organization helping folks in poor neighborhoods to build up their community, encourage stable lives and home ownership, etc.

If not for their flame throwing re: Sonia Sotomayor's belonging to La Raza, I would not have known about that organization. Now I see the Latino community has put together an extensive national, local, and grass roots advocacy group fighting for their civil rights and doing what they can to help their constituent members to fight racism, discrimination, and organize to build stronger Latino communities.

Thank you, conservative racist assholes. Because of you, I have even more hope and knowledge about the progressive groups out there working to defeat your 18th century mindset.

1. While I've Never "Thanked"
I do realize that if certain conservatives don't believe in something, it reinforces my own beliefs in the same thing. It is rather sad that there are those out there who believe and support the 30% of population that believed in George Bush and Sarah Palin.

4. yeah. my thought was they gave national audience to groups I hadn't heard of.
I had heard of NAACP, MEChA, and other groups....but as a white male who doesn't live in inner city and doesn't rub shoulders with all of these groups, they were news to me.

So...I'm just pointing out they helpe illuminate some really terrific groups to a lot of us who didn't even know about them.

3. Very well said!
(But I think you meant "hugh and cry.")

Seriously, the Whigs shed light on all kind of good things that are going on out there thanks to their blundering racist, homophobic, misogynistic ways.

5. thanks! I rarely use that term so I had to look it up
to make sure I spelled hue correctly. I was like..."I hope it's not 'hew'? noo...can't be.
