What an interesting coincidence that none of the "Birthers" LIKE Obama's politics! |
|
Edited on Tue Jul-14-09 02:49 PM by Bicoastal
Odd, isn't it? They're all Palin-crazy Freepers or diehard PUMA-types, and not a single one claims to have considered voting for Obama, or even identifies themselves as a liberal!
And this in spite of their claim (seriously!) that theirs is an issue of Constitutionality that transcends partisan politics!
Why, if I didn't know better, I'd say that this was a long-term conservative smear campaign designed to undermine confidence in the Commander-in-Chief and sway some gullible, racist and/or conspiracy theory-minded independents from voting for Obama in 2012!
But of course, I'm wrong. This is clearly a neutral and legitimate grievance, led by people with absolutely no bone to pick with Barack Obama.
After all, Alan Keyes would never steer us down the wrong path, would he?

3. I think even if Obama had two WHITE parents born in this country, we would not be having it. |

These people aren't all necessarily racist (Keyes, for example), but they're all deeply, DEEPLY Xenophobic. I've seen rants about "pure American bloodlines" that sound straight out of Mein Kampf.

Also let's notice that there's not a peep about John McCain being born in Panama, outside of the US soil at the canal zone

9. Actually, one of the lawsuits alleged that both Obama and McCain were ineligible |
|
The case is .
For good measure, the plaintiff even threw in the charge that Roger Calero, the Socialist Workers Party candidate, was ineligible (as, in fact, he was).

2. My goodness, I was thinking the same exact thing just a couple of days ago |

Not everyone who is opposed to Obama's policies is a birther, but it sure does seem like everyone who is a birther is opposed to Obama's policies.
Weird, huh?

6. Those who believe that Obama was born in Kenya (because they ignore any proof to the contrary) |
|
...and thus should be removed from the White House under violation of the Constitution.
Crazy, right? There have been a brazillion lawsuits filed in the last few months on these grounds--all of them thrown out.

7. Every birther is a goddamned racist who can't handle |

having a black president. So they make up some sort of alternate universe so they can sleep at night. They way I deal with these nutjobs is to tell them Ronald Reagan was born in Quebec Canada, and that his birth certificate is a forgery. Throw it right back on them with their former dipshit St. Ronnie.
