8. It's so ironic
that the senator hitting the most hot-button culture issues is the closeted gay Republican. Well, maybe that's quite normal.

22. Graham.....
He does exhibit gay tendencies. Not that there's anything wrong with that but I worked in theatre for several years and my gadar senses he's got some cloths in the closet he wouldn't like to have others see. He is an oily little effeminate prick sucker.....not that there's anything wrong with that.....except in redneck South Carolina. I've been to SC many times and while the state itself can be beautiful, it's back woods, shit poor, racist place who's mentality is little removed from the mid 19th century.

25. As a northerner who lived in Charleston, SC
Edited on Tue Jul-14-09 04:22 PM by virgdem
in the mid 70's, I will attest to the fact that it is a provincial, backward state. I believed it then and now that they are still fighting the Civil War down there. Charleston is a charming city, but one year of living there was quite enough for me.

26. Charleston, SC......
Yes....it is that, a charming city but once you get away from the tourist areas with their quaint little shops and little trendy restaraunts it like traveling back a hundred fifty years. And believe me, the people that run that state want to keep it that way.

13. Total gotcha politics
nothing more, nothing less.

She needs to start getting a bit more terse in her responses.

"My opinion on abortion can only be reflected by specific cases presented to me and cannot be described by these hypotheticals, Senator."

10. Okay, this is how it is supposed to work.
The Senator asks a question because he or she wants to know the answer and doesn't. The nominee then answers the question while the committee listens.

STFU and let her answer!

21. Judge Sotomayor is more and more impressive...
The 'interaction' between the Judge and the POS Graham brings to mind the picture of someone calmly holding off, with one hand, a flailing attacker who's attempts to land a punch only results in them looking very foolish and increasingly frustrated.

WTG Judge!

24. What a sexist p.o.s
Huckleberry was so condescending and patronizing. What a worthless little man. He had the nerve to say to someone who grew up in poverty in the Bronx that she didn't understand reality. These hearings are bringing to the forefront the racism and sexism in what's left of the repig party. Come out the closet Lindsay: you will be a happier man.
