Simple reason, the GOP has made it politically excusable to do so. Dick Cheney and Rush taking the lead. Stupid fucking chicken hawks. If they were working with the administration on anything...anything it would make some political sense to try to turn a blind eye to what happened the past 8 years and move on.

They aren't. In fact they are doing the exact opposite. They want a war when they are unpopular and people are still blaming them for the economic situation and frankly economically speaking, things are about to get worse. Want to make sure people keep blaming them.

Their game playing with Sotomayer and the Healthcare bill is pretty much the last straw.

Its the right result, probably wrong reasons but fuck it, I'll take it.
