1. Just for you.

There is a new form of radiotherapy for inoperable cancers, and one man in the UK has been the first to undergo the procedure. Coincidentally the man has the same type of cancer as Patrick Swayze, the heart-throb from Dirty Dancing. Swayze’s cancer had previously been deemed inoperable, but this new procedure has given him renewed hope.

Swayze was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer which has only a 13% survival rate because most cancers of this type are inoperable. However the Cyberknife, the very new procedure that Swayze has reportedly used, targets these hard to reach tumors with high amounts of radiation. A High amount of radiation is medically proven to stop the growth of tumors and kill the cancerous cells.

When undergoing Cyberknife treatments, the patient is usually awake and alert. However they must be very still, as even a sneeze can disrupt the treatment. Other patients who have undergone this procedure have added months and years to their life.

Swayze who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer about a year ago has been fighting the disease aggressively. He has also appeared in several prime time specials to give the public updates about his condition. This comes just after Farrah Fawcett’s death from anal cancer.

Found at this link I have no idea if it's reliable. The best I could do with a quick google.

:hi:

4. Resveratrol sensitizes pancreatic cancer cells to radiation. He should
know about this but no one I imagine is going to tell him.

http://www.naturalnews.com/024409_resveratrol_cancer_pancreatic_cancer.html

"Resveratrol seems to have a therapeutic gain by making tumor cells more sensitive to radiation and making normal tissue less sensitive," said lead researcher Paul Okunieff, chief of radiation oncology at the University of Rochester Medical Center.

In a study published in the journal Advances in Experimental Medicine and Biology,Okunieff and colleagues treated a group of pancreatic cancer cells with 50 mg of resveratrol, then iodized them to simulate the action of chemotherapy. Another group of cancer cells was iodized without undergoing any resveratrol treatment.

Pancreatic cancer has long been known to be particularly resistant to chemotherapy. The researchers discovered that because the pancreas is continually producing digestive enzymes and pumping them into the duodenum, these enzymes actually flush away chemotherapy chemicals before they can have much impact.

But in pancreatic cancer cells that had been treated with resveratrol, the cell membrane proteins responsible for this flushing had their functioning hampered. In addition to becoming more sensitive to chemotherapy, the cells also became more likely to undergo programmed death (apoptosis) due to the increased production of reactive oxygen species.

one of those Cyberknife machines here in town, one of the local hospitals advertises it on TV.

9. Money, time, and access.
Though usually, money will buy the other two.

2. Right now, Swayze is probably smiling a little smile.
"You guys all thought I was gonna cooperate and help you fill out a 'three' a while ago, didn't you? Well, bite me. I'm not ready yet."

on TV the other day and that he has lost a lot of teeth from this procedure. He also looks very gaunt.

I wish him the best, but unfortunately, many of these "new and radical" procedures don't do any better than normal treatments, while having downsides not associated with SOP cancer treatments. Using such treatments often dissuades patients from taking normal treatments.

My landlord's mom got on some kind of fresh juice diet to fight her cancer. They gave up on normal treatments and were all gung-ho about what a great success they were having with the juice thing. They buried her a month ago.
