The Bronze Age is, with respect to a given prehistoric society, the period in that society when the most advanced metalworking (at least in systematic and widespread use) included smelting copper and tin from naturally-occurring outcroppings of copper and tin ores, creating a bronze alloy by melting those metals together, and casting them into bronze artifacts. The Bronze Age also included the domestication of the horse.

9. Somehow I suspect that F.R. doesn't feature a lot of literary references... |
|
And, to be perfectly honest, I'm sure that I miss far more allusions here on DU than I catch!
Glad to give you a smile, though!

10. I am fascinated to see what folks at DU rate down. Less than zero |
|
Edited on Tue Jul-14-09 11:17 PM by McCamy Taylor
for this thread? That is a lot of effort to suppress----what? What exactly is the objection? Would someone who is rating this thread down please explain why it offends? I recommended it and it still stays at less than zero, from which I have to assume that at least two other people disapprove of the bronze age....

13. How the heck does an unrec suppress a thread? |
|
Sure, it keeps it off the "Greatest" page, for whatever that's worth, but does it actually do anything to suppress the thread?

15. THe stated objective of the unrec is to keep junk off the GP. |

Edited on Thu Jul-16-09 08:45 AM by tekisui
People may not be unreccing to suppress, but rather to keep post lacking substance off the GP. They may not be offended, but just want to make sure more quality posts are recced.
