Obama should get the Pope or other religious leaders to endorse his health care plan |
|
He should make it a moral issue, and interject abortion into it by saying it will reduce the likelihood that woman will seek abortion if they have health insurance. Also, this surtax on the rich is a mistake. He should keep the numbers small as it relates to finding a funding source. It's easier to sell a 10 cent tax on soda than a surtax on those making $1,000,000 because of the small number. I'm thinking it should be a combination of sin taxes and a 2% tax on outpatient health care services. If you have a modest tax on health care services it would help bring down the cost of health care.

1. That's actually a VERY good idea. I'll bet Cardinal Rat would approve of it. nt |

3. I think there would be fewer abortions if people that |
|
got pregnant did not worry about job, housing, food, and health security.
But many on the right do not want to lower abortions for some groups, population reduction is a stated goal of some people in some groups. They also like the ideas of economic motivated sterilization.
