So I turned on Jabba the Rush today to listen to his spew

It has probably been four years since I turned this asshat on. I lasted about 30 seconds. He sounds like a third grader whining about the bad Liberals. What a fucking joke. I have figured out why the Republican'ts listen to him.

14. It's the "hate"

That keeps Rush's listeners coming back for more. He gets them all worked up with his lies, and they don't have the brains to check out what he says to find out if he is telling the truth or not, they simply accept it with no questions asked. He use's fear and hate to keep the all worked up. My mother in law listened to him everyday since back around 1996. She would get all worked up about Clinton and what he was doing to the country, and boy she had some rants going for years! She has had several strokes, and I really think part of the problem was listening to Rush. Anyway, she got more and more looney, part of it was due to old age and dementia, and listening to Rush rant on and on. We take care of her, and have for 15 years now, and I had to get her a new TV and a receiver last year. We hook up external speakers to for her and set them by her chair, one on each side because she is really hard of hearing, and it helps so we don't have to listen to the noise when Rush is on! Anyway, she kept on moving the AM antenna around and pulling the wires out of the back of the receiver. She would get me to "fix" once or twice a week. Finally she gave up on it and just figured it was the transmitter that broadcast the signal in our area, that wasn't working right. I "had" to agree with her for her own good, and she has not listened to Rush for over 3 months now. She is in a better mood, she watches TV shows in the morning now and smiles and laughs instead of frowning and complaining about "Obama" and how he is destroying this country!

So there is hope if we can get his followers to simply go cold turkey, they may have a chance to become normal again!
