3. He was, but his style
was that of a professional scold, and people do not like to be scolded.

There was that fundie mean streak in him, regardless of all the good works he's done. That streak is there.................

2. the funny thing is he never mentioned the word "malaise" in that speech and if we had followed thru
on what he did say regarding energy this country would be much better off today.
