let's get serious: the secret program is NOT about assasination of Al Queda |
|
Don't be confused: if the program was so secret even Tenet did not know about it, and Cheney was running it until just now, it could not have been about assasinating al Queda. for the following reasons:
1. we already know about such a program: they were bragging about it a while back 2. Tenet informed the INTELLIGENCE committees, not the Justice Department. 3. we wouldn't be just told what it was so easily, if the intel committees met in private on it.

I love the euphanisims that agencies come up with for "the other" or "the target".. "disposees".
Jees...if we had wiped out the CIA, we could have saved millions of lives and zillinos of dollars.

13. This was back in the 50s... |

the modern-day intelligence structures are much more complicated, and I believe that the corrupt factions overlap the intelligence agencies of several nations. When it comes to the illicit trade of arms, nukes or drugs, nationalism and religious ideology take a back seat. This was exposed, briefly, during the Iran-Contra scandal.

4. Yes! What could be so secret about an assassination program against Al Qaida? |
|
Bush was bragging for years that they had killed or captured at least half or two-thirds of the terrorist leaders. The Bush people bragged that they assassinated the No. 2 man and the No. 3 man at least a dozen times. So, what would be the secret here?
Nah, it's bigger than anyone is saying. Probably the ones in the know aren't talking, and the ones talking don't know.
I'm curious about who spilled the beans to Panetta!

11. Your guess makes sense |
|
This is just so Cheneyesque. Secretiveness, no transparency, cloak and dagger, and it would answer a whole lot of questions about why so many key representatives have become invertebrate jelly fish when it comes to courage. Maybe they're actions are based on real fear.
See, sometimes when something comes along and suddenly it makes other puzzling things suddenly make sense, then that something has legs.

Either a domestic assassination ring or a domestic spying program. Or both. There's definitely more to this story and I hope it surfaces soon. But I also wonder if we will ever know the whole truth...
