Fundies: Anti-Bullying Bill is just a way to force Teh Gay on students
Totally f**king

from the "news" service of the American Family Assn:

Pro-homosexual 'ruse' masquerades as bullying bill
Charlie Butts and Jody Brown - OneNewsNow - 7/15/2009 7:20:00 AM

Congress is due to consider an anti-bullying bill for schools. One outspoken Christian activist calls the measure "a ruse" perpetrated by homosexual groups.

The Safe Schools Improvement Act (H.R. 2262), introduced in early May by Representative Linda Sánchez (D-California) and endorsed by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), would require special treatment on the basis of a student's actual or perceived "sexual orientation" or "gender identity." According to GLSEN, bullying is a "serious public health crisis" -- and passage of H.R. 2262 would lay a "foundation of support" for future, similar policies.

Matt Barber, director of cultural affairs for Liberty Counsel, offers a blunt comment on the Safe Schools Improvement Act. "This is a ruse orchestrated by adult homosexual pressure groups intended as a foot in the door for their radical, anti-moral values agenda," he states.

Candi Cushman with Focus on the Family tells CitizenLink that homosexual activists would use the measure as the "leverage" they need to force promotion of homosexuality into schools. Barber concurs, saying schools would have to teach that homosexuality is acceptable. ........(more)

6. Nonsense. It's a way to give neurotypical students autism.
:sarcasm:

In North Carolina, an anti-bullying bill passed the legislature by a single vote. It was supported by a coalition of LGBT and disability rights advocates, including parents of children with autism.

Yet no one ever accuses us of forcing our autism agenda down their throats. They better wake up and smell the coffee: at the rate the incidence is rising, we will be in the majority someday, and I'll be President!! :P

7. An Islamist group in Toronto ran on a platform condeming a similar anti-bullying program...
They were routed so badly that even the share of the Muslim vote they won was beyond anemic.

8. Ludicrous.....
Anti-bullying statutes are intended to protect all children from the unwanted negative taunting and threatening of others. It doesn't matter if it is because one is perceived or actually gay, overweight, funny-looking, eccentric, etc.

The idea is that in a school setting one's personal views about others must be controlled and not given outward expression. It is that simple.

I have some issue with the fact that the x-tians think somehow that taunting gays is their religious freedom. I think when they meet their maker he will say...um sorry....take the door to the right which goes straight to hell. You didn't read my message to love one another as yourself and judge not lest ye be judged.

You know I'm a Christian, and a gay Christian, and before reading this article I would have been offended by your statement. But now, sadly, it appears to be true... There are apparently some Christians who think it is their religious RIGHT to bully gays. Jesus would be so ashamed of these "christians"

10. They never have to worry about their kids, because they are the bullies. From
crazy repressive families who are scared of anyone whose "different".

They just don't want to have to hire a lawyer for Bubba, Jr.
