For serious health care reform in this country.

Not just single payer, but a complete overhaul of it all.

My first X passed away on 7/4/2005. Born with a lot of birth defects, they did not expect her to reach her teen years.

Her sister Christie, was not so lucky. She was one of the first cases of Rye Syndrome in the US. Took aspirin while she was really sick - they asked to keep her on life support to study it - then charged her mom a ton of money for her allowing them to do so. I spent years with my X in a battle with health care. She almost died with out first son. The doctor blew her conditions off. I examined them later that night and read up - she had toxemia. Called the Doc at home and ripped him a new one, we didn't have insurance and he basically looked at her and said she was fine. No money to make, she was shuffled off. Saved her life. He saw her the next day and put her right in the hospital (she was born with only half of one kidney).

Eventually she lost her life, after being with someone else and another doctor who ignored her conditions. She drowned in her own fluids one night. She never got the care she needed.

My current X, a wonderful woman I have always loved spent about two years without the meds and care she needed, we could not afford it. Try having parkinson's and depression without much care. 10 years together. All gone. Talked with her a few nights ago and she told me how sorry she was for it all and how much better she now feels with her meds. And that does not even go into the psychological help she needed, as did I. Not easy being a care giver - not to mention all the loss I had at the same time.

I remember 9/11. I remember driving home to her and my little girl. The fear people felt. And yet we have people suffering day in and out, dying, because we don't have the day to day care they need.

Have an emergency? Sure, you will get care no matter what. Try having ongoing issues and needing meds and care.

I lost the woman I love to a disease that took her mind, and my boys lost a mother to a system that put dollars ahead of people.

Save money? Life is not about money. You want a better society for all, start where we need it the most - physical and mental care, along with giving those that need it what they need. Not promises, oil, wars. You want to save Americans? Their greatest threat is not some third world country and a religious asshole living in a cave, it is health care or lack thereof that threatens them.

Poor people don't have a chance and it seems like they are not wanted here anymore. Homeless? Sick? Having Mental issues? Too bad. Need Disability care - wait 2-4 years while we go over the paperwork. Oh, and you will need an attorney who will get a big cut of it.

You only matter if you can contribute a lot of money to my candidacy. Your pain and suffering in the meantime means little, unless it can be mapped to some financial institution or the stock market. Your life means nothing if there is not a profit to be made from it.

Pro-Life you call yourself? No, you are pro money. Root of all evil is money your bible tells you, and yet your ignore that and find reasons why the money you earn is so magical.

I am a Christian myself, and can see what so many mainstream don't - that in the end the real people of the church would fall away. And you have. You pushed aside compassion in favor of a dollar sign.

You fight care for others because it might take away money from you, your real God. You go to your churches and pray for mercy for others from God while you deny it to them yourselves. God gave you the power to help others and you turned away from it.

We don't need God to solve our problems, we were given that power. And we squandered it and rationalized it - all in the name of money and our 401k's.

Don't expect God to save you. You were given that power a long time ago and you threw it away.

Don't dare to question God when your loved one lays sick and dying. Instead question yourself.

And then go back to bowing down to your oil and money gods.

My God gave me compassion for others, he taught me love, to be a healing hand. Yours taught you to punish people and to let them suffer.

I won't go to your churches, won't sing with you. For you are what I was warned against.

You are the Anti-Christ, the ones who care for no others but themselves. You threw away a gift and a message for a nice house like all the others in your tract home area.

The beast has come, and it is not the atheists, the democrats, the homeless or sick - it is you.

6. The U.S. health care industry kills people.
It bankrupts people. It throws them out onto the mean streets when they most need help. It destroys families and relationships. It's a money sucking monster that owns our government.

It is evil.
