The Repug "Morning Joe" Talking Point. "Heath Care is about curbing social behavior."
Edited on Thu Jul-16-09 06:54 AM by KoKo
Said by Mika who along with Maria Barteromo and the rest of the crew were saying that Obama isn't doing anything to prevent disease. And Mika says the whole debate should be about "curbing social behavior."

Fascist talk. Amazing the concerted push back by dealogues about whether the rich are entitled to health care for their "social behavior" failings, but the rest of us should not because our lifestyles of "over eating, smoking and whatever" caused whatever disease we might have and it's just our bad luck that our bad behavior made us sick. :eyes:

"The rest of you can go to hell"

("or better yet, fuck off and die so we don't have to hear you whining anymore")

6. You have to give some leeway to the MJ watchers.
The OP is confusing, but obviously something stupid was said on MJ, though why this is news I'll never know. Merely watching the show can evidently hamper one's ability to write clearly about it.

I did enjoy the "idealog" spelling though - if English made any sense, it would be spelled that way!

:)

5. So 'splain this to me, Mika.
I'm an older woman with a few extra pounds and I need a hip replacement. Before bashing me about the few extra pounds, consider the most famous hip replacement patient: Mary Lou Retton, the Olympic gymnast with the stack of gold medals. Sometimes there isn't a socially-related cause and effect to illness. Sometimes nonsmokers get lung cancer and smokers occasionally live to be 100. The bottom line is everyone deserves medical care as a human right, no questions asked.
