Main problems I find with the HC bill, the 2013 start and the plan being closed to so many
call your congress critters and bitch. If we focus on these to problems the bill will be much better.

1. Be clear about what you're asking for.
a) the public plan would be open to anyone who is currently uninsured, or on a standalone plan, on day one. I think it is also available to employers of under 20 people.
b) in four years (2013), the plan will begin to participate in the exchange, which will regulate rates and offerings in each state. At that point it is planned to be available to bigger employers.

I agree with the benefit of pointing out any deficiencies in the current bill, provided we know and don't misrepresent what they are.

was required to get a CBO ten-year budget score of under $1 trillion, thereby keeping the cost below President Nelson's and President Baucus' and President Landrieu's and The Other President Lincoln's and President Bayh's favorite arbitrary round number.

Start it up full-strength, or earlier, and the ten-year cost goes up, the chance of passage goes down.
