That's certainly the impression one got in watching the hearings.

5. Who? The Republicans?
Goddamit, I knew we couldn't trust those voting machines. Maybe now that they no longer control the DoJ, they can reap their just awards for being hostile to voting Americans.

12. Oh, I think having the Obama family
in the White House was just the beginning of their worst nightmares coming true.

Now we've got this "Spick" chick who thinks she's such hot stuff, and have you noticed all the women, and blacks, and people with funny names, and do you think that one Cabinet member is a lesbian, and all those kids working for the administration?

Who do they think they are, anyway?

Americans?

(I am loving it, my friend - let us rejoice and enjoy this ..............)

4. No, the Senators know they can win their home state without the
Latino vote. The presidential candidates are on their own.

9. Apparently they just can't help themselves. Being obnoxious shits is so deeply ingrained,
and such a practiced behavior over the last 20 plus years, that they just can't stop on a dime and turn around, even when election results and demographics tell them in no uncertain terms that they'd better.

11. That type of behavior excites the GOP Base.

The Republicans don't worry much about minorities. They fear losing their bigoted base more than anything.

or the vote of anyone and everyone who can see through their incredibly stupid bullshit.

Getting to be a pretty small, exclusive party, guys...
smaller every day.

The wing nuts think that everyone else is stupid. They think that they are much, much smarter than the voters, especially minority voters. They figure that by the time the next election comes around, everyone will have forgotten about their behavior, or, if anyone calls them out on it, they can just deny they ever said any of the crap they spouted. As for the Latino vote, they figure all they need to do is speak a few memorized words in Spanish, and be seen eating some generic Mexican food ( probably Taco Bell) and every Latino will fall all over themselves to vote GOP, because " they understand us".

He was big on trying to help the GOP win the latino vote because he realized how bad it would be if they lost it. Luckily he failed.

W/o the latino vote the GOP is going to have trouble in Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Nevada, Arizona, etc. The GOP has lost the northeast, west coast and northern midwest in presidential elections in the last few election cycles. W/o the southwest it is going to be even harder for them to win. The dems don't need any of the 13 southern states to win presidential elections if they can win the southwest (colorado, nevada, new mexico, arizona).

The GOP has never been known for being a party of good listeners or being rational people.
