My companies new retirement plan

We recently found out that our pensions are going to be frozen at the end of the year. They mailed some propaganda regarding the changes with information to "help" us plan for the future.

For those over 50, one of the suggestions to make up for the difference in what we were planning:

Set realistic goals given today's economy, if necessary, this could include considering part time work.

When we have the employee meetings I am thinking of asking if we have to take vacation when we interview for our part time work.
