1. She just said she does not know why American's are obsessed with health care. |
|
Back in her day, people did not go to doctors for things. She thinks it was better years ago. I want to ask her if she likes to live past 60 years old?? I want to ask her what kind of insurance she has and what does it cover. I want to ask her to give up her medical insurance and give the policy to someone who has none. We are "obsessed" because we want longevity. I just hate that woman. I can't even stand her voice. It irks me like Palin's voice does!!

2. That's what conservatives want. |
|
To return us to the 19th century. Noonan is a conservative so I don't expect much from her. What really disgusts me are Mika and Barnicle who pretend to be liberal but are parroting every GOP talking point to shoot down health care.

6. She's either clueless or heartless - probably both. |
|
I heard that and almost fell off my chair.
I can't figure out yet why she would be saying such a thing. It's got to be one of two things:
1. She is being intentionally obtuse, pretending that thinking about healthcare is "making a mountain out of a molehill." You know, casting aspersions on all of us who think it's an issue so that we can keep things status quo. By dismissing this as an issue, it also sounds like she's paraphrasing Leona Helmsley (see my sig line), as in, "We don't need to worry about 'health care.' Talking about 'health care' is for the little people."
2. She is so out-of-touch with the average person and has enough wealth not to have to worry about such things. After all, if she did have to worry about it, she probably wouldn't be in the GOP.
If she did a little research, she'd realize that much of this started with one of her own, Richard Nixon.
I tend to think it's a combination of the two. Her statements this morning on the subject were simply absurd.

3. Even the wingnuts are sick of her |
|
I haven't been to Freeperville for a dog's age, but I do recall many of them putting her down. Generally the comments were that she must be hitting the sauce.
She's a hack writer who stuffed a few words in the mouth of an actor President who made them sound melodious, that's all.

My younger brother was sick when he was a kid. We had no insurance because my Dad was trying to keep his business going during a tough time. We ended up losing everything, the business, our home and for me...my childhood.
Peggy Noonan is just your typical republican monster. And Mika is just as bad. Nod and agree you heartless freak. The problem with rich wingnuts is that they donate a few tax deductable dollars to their favorite charities and they think they are "good" people with the moral high ground.
I hope they both find themselves in a situation that brings them the fear and heartache they so blythly ignore in others.

Although I've been told to never wish ill on anyone else, I feel misfortune would be a great learning tool for Peggy. I wish her wisdom.

9. Peggy Noonan simply mystifies me. |
|
She writes well. That's all. She strings words together in sometimes memorable ways. But she knows NOTHING. She processes information on a kindergarten level but she expresses it poetically. She has nothing to say but she has such a pretty way of putting it. Why is she on talk shows doing panel? It's like confusing a carwash with a car assembly line. Both shove shiny, pretty cars out the door but only one is actually making anything. Peggy's just a carwash and she should stick to polishing up other people's words, not pretending to produce ideas or anything else of substance.

12. She is vapid and in love with her own voice |
|
She is one of the stupidest talking heads I've ever heard. She wondered this am why Sotomayor was so opaque in her comments. Duh, Peggy. Then came her comment about how we now obsess about healthcare. She says nothing of interest to anyone. Why can't these people let Regan rest in peace? He hasn't been president for over 20 years now.
