which I bought 10yrs ago, which was discounted. I'm sharing the cost with my credit union loan. This dealer just bought up a local retiring dealers interests & hired guys from a GM closed dealer. They found me exactly what I wanted & went and got it.

2. Good for the OP not so good for GM.
GM problem was never about selling cars. They sold more vehicles than anyone else every year for last 2 decades.

GM problem was selling a lot of vehicles for slightly less than they cost.

There isn't that much profit in a vehicle. If the new vehicle cost $3K less than a similar vehicle 10 years ago which was already heavily discounted GM just lost a little more money.

4. I think thats going to change as more & more 10's get on the lots...
they have a lot of 30-34mpg stuff from Malibu's to the new Equinox. I bought a 09 truck, I need hauling capacity. I think it was more about over pricing then anything else. Ford is doing the same thing another friend bought a truck from them at about 4k off the price. In the end with all the horse trading I got my vehicle at 9k from sticker. They should have been pricing them like that years ago.
