I can't. Because politics is a negotiation, and as soon as he gives them what they want, they'll ask for more. Then they'll get it.

Meanwhile the "base"--all of us morons who campaigned, blogged, voted, and argued with the anti-government Paulites that this time was going to be different---is getting flushed down like used toilet paper. This watered down healthcare plan that President Obama is trying to sell us is a slap in the face. These corporate appointments he's making, like Michael Taylor, are a slap in the face.

Does the President (or his political advisors) really believe that accommodating the center is going to drown out the cries of "Socialist"? The more he compromises, the harder they are on him. Politically, what's the point?

1. Either our Democratic leaders
are terribly naive, or there's something rotten in D.C.

Take your pick.

2. Can we choose a little of Column A and a bit of Column B?
While I do not agree with term limits, I find that some politicians are a bit too in love with the job and the perks and will bend over backwards to keep them. They are no longer out for the people, they are out for themselves.

3. Obama is not a leader. And from what I've seen, he has no convictions to have the courage of.

6. Can you imagine a day when people like Rahm or Ford or Hoyer or others

in our party embrace "liberals" or even the word? Will they ever admit without us, they would never win (especially since on their website, they say they owe Democratic Party victories to "moderates")?
