12. I don't just stand beside her, I've stood with her...

...in her clinic and talked about the difficulties I've had with healthcare and receiving treatment for my pulmonary condition. Her concern for me was evident and her empathy very real. I've also seen the work she has done for the people of Bayou La Batre, something that would never have been attempted without a genuine dedication to healing and service.

She is as deserving of this honor as any doctor I've met.
