Why is card check so important?
I ama strong supporter of EFCA, but I don't understand why workers cannot vote on a secret ballot to join. Can someone explain?

1. Workers can vote a secret ballot under EFCA
EFCA allows the workers to decide how and if they want to organize as a bargaining unit. As it stands now, employers get the de facto right to decide how workers will vote on whether to unionize. The "secret ballot" scare tactic is just so much nonsense.

2. But what about the card check?
Doesn't that happen before the vote? To initiate the vote, I thought some % of people need to sign cards in favor. After they reach the threshold, the whole place gets to vote. But the employer also gets to look through those cards and see who started it all.

Am I wrong on that?
