1. Disagree. He's a good emblem for the GOP brand name.
Better him as their voice than the lying bastards who won't actually embrace the jingoism and racism of their party.

7. "Everyone's good for something, even if only as a bad example."
That's a bit of wisdom I was told decades ago.

Pat is a great example of what the GOP is really all about. I can't stand him, either, but when he talks his nonsense, he's branding the GOP, just like Limbaugh does. What better for us than those two on radio and TV saying what they say?

8. Reminds me of one of my shirts - its says "I love freedom of speech" on one side
"It lets us know who the idiots are" on the back

2. A soap opera just came on
and I am so sick of cable news that I haven't even changed it. I'm leaving in 2 minutes too, but still. I'd rather watch Price is Right.

3. What's the alternative?
Assuming you're going to watch cable news at all, that is. Despite Pat Buchanan, MSNBC is still better than FAUX or CNN (FAUX Lite)

11. It's funny because I have SAT but don't watch any of them.
There are all kinds of indy news shows on that are much better and don't involve Buchanan or any of those other idiots. Between LinkTv and FreeSpeechTV and occasionally PBS, I don't miss those shows at ALL. I don't usually know the last flap that is upsetting DU because Buchanan has been an idiot again, but I do get the actual news.

4. I wouldn't miss him -
he's the last of the dinosaurs, and the show he puts on is worth the price of admission.

We're not always going to have Uncle Pat to kick around, so let's enjoy him while we can.....................

5. I already sent a letter to Rachel Maddow today stating that I would no longer watch MSNBC
as long as that racist shit was being paid by them.

Here is the email for Phil Griffin: phil.griffin@nbc.com

9. No he belongs there reminding us of all the people out there who think like
him because they can be dangerous for liberty and democracy. Rachel was right to get him on to defend his position. This is what liberals do before we attack their ideology.

14. Nope. I'm glad he's on there.
First of all, I'll refuse to turn my back on programs like the Rachel Maddow show or The Ed Show because those are some of the best programs on all of cable news.

Second, sometimes its better to put crazy people front and center, especially while public opinion is leaving them in the dust, because they become more discredited with more airtime.

16. Sorry... throwing out the baby with the bathwater is not for me

A network that has 90% good and 10% bad deserves to be watched.

Secondly... you began your post with "Recommend if..." which means an automatic UNREC from me.

18. Why would we want to punish Rachel and Keith?
Write to MSNBC about Buchanan all you want, but why propose a boycott of the station that will (a) go nowhere, and (b) hurt the very programs we DO want on there?

Hekate
