The repubs are against affirmative action, this is fairly obvious. Yet they have no problem with the rich using connections to get their children into schools and jobs they may not be as qualified for. My question: What is the difference?

Some might not agree, but I believe that's the thought process.

as usual, its a matter of 'framing,' and we've never seriously/loudly pointed out (to them or the public at large) the way 'their' affirmative action works. Its just the status quo.
