3. I am forever grateful, particularly since our local thirtyish CBS
affiliate's anchors could barely pronounce his name when the breaking news came in, and then immediately segued into some athletic shoe competition.

:wtf: I hope he gets the news coverage he deserves. He is so much more important than Jacko historically. Our new journalists need to go back and study him as well as the other greats who have passed before him like Edward R. Murrow.

6. What a sarcastic comment. What does that have to do with Cronkite's life?
:shrug: BTW genetics has a lot more to do with how long we live than having great health care. Of course it doesn't hurt to have some basic health care to keep those genes going, too.

Still...it's about Walter Cronkite and his legacy for those who want to mourn him.
