Haven't I seen this play before?
The health-care reform begins with a large number of Americans approving of it. Then the propaganda begins. One year later, it is totally discredited. The President's numbers begin to slide and reform dies on the vine, once again. Is this the direction we are headed? If so, who is to blame?

2. If we allow a gop minority and a handfull of Blue Dogs to derail this
there should be hell to pay in the Democratic Party. Obama was elected with a clear mandate for positive change in this country, not permission to placate and pacify conservatives.

3. I hate to sound like an analyst after the economy bomb dropped...
...but the people pretty much would be. If they took the time to educate themselves on the issue, they wouldn't so easily fall for that propaganda.

Though I suppose you could blame the Prez too, as he could try to ram that bill through no matter what. But then how could he if a vast majority were against it in the first place?

Then again, if the profit loving members of Congress and...

You know what, it's all our faults.

4. What I don't get is the constituencies of these elected representatives who oppose reform.
Don't the voters in these states and districts have the same problems that other Americans do?

How can they be so blind to their own self interest or willing to suffer such exploitation so gladly?
