Portrait of an (insane) blue dog Democrat
Edited on Sat Jul-18-09 10:54 AM by Cyrano
What better example of a blue dog Democrat could there be than Zell Miller, former senator from Georgia.

Good ole' Zell is perhaps a bit crazier than most blue dogs, but not by much. In 1994 this "Democrat" gave a bugshit insane speech at the Republican National Convention praising George W. Bush and bashing John Kerry. Yet, he still called himself a Democrat.

But this week, he outdid himself while putting his racism on full display. Speaking to a Republican crowd, he said,(and I'm paraphrasing here), "Rahm Emanuel (the White House chief of staff) needs to use some gorilla glue to keep Obama in his chair..."

I've believed for many years now that the civil war should never have been fought. The South should have been permitted to secede from the union, grow their cotton and eat it. The most unacceptable problem with this scenario is that slavery would probably still exist in the 21st century South.

1. He is a Republican
but it would be interesting to see what he would say or vote on if he was elected in a blue state.

2. Do you really think any blue state would elect a man as filled with hate as Zell?

12. He's retired
I don't think he gets to vote on anything except his preferred dueling weapon these days.

5. At this point
Zell's main diagnosis is "insanity," but now complicated by "dementia."

9. Doubtful...
Remember that one of the reasons for the Texas revolution was that they had slaves, which Mexico didn't allow. ;)
