So I went in to Chase today and was asked "What are you doing here?"
So I went in to Chase today to make a deposit.

A Chase employee walks over to me and says "What are you doing here?" while I am talking to the teller.

I tell him I am making a deposit.

He then says to me "Oh well your teller just told me that you are pre-approved for a chase credit card" I tell him I already have a Chase credit card. His response? "Well do you want to have another one?"

I tell him "No that's ok".

The sad truth is if these banks weren't handing out credit cards like this (and obviously MULTIPLE credit cards from the same bank to people) the economy would completely stop. After this incident I just thought to my self what a seriously fucked situation we are in.

1. Where is mine?
We don't have Chase Bank in my part of the world, but we might as well hand out credit to everyone. US Dollar is "funny money" anyway, and we are so far in debt that we as a nation will never get out of, so instead of the $1.2T stimulus funds, cash for clunkers, etc. Just cut me a check for $40,000 and I will stimulate the economy for sure!

2. That "funny money" pays my bills and buys my groceries.
And the debt-to-GDP ratio has been worse in the past.

Obviously the economy could be a lot better, but rants about monetary armageddon don't hold any water.

3. He was probably wondering why you had some spare cash to deposit
If you're depositing, the bank is losing money by paying YOU interest.

And that won't do.
