I went with the gum, too, and for the most part was finished in about 3-4 weeks. (I started when I took a week's vacation, went out of town and disrupted the full routine.) Some occasional chews afterwords in stressful times. It's been two years now.

I can't imagine how you could use it as a crack pipe as there is no ignition, no heat. It's water vapor. (But then again I have no idea how a crack pipe works, I assume you light it and it burns.)

That requires heat... The nicotine is in a refillable cartridge. Any oil or solution can go in there.

If there is any heat it is undetectable. You can smoke these for 10 minutes and stick them in your pocket.

The nicotine cartridges are mostly not refillable. You can make your own refillable ones from old cartridges, but why bother? They cost maybe a buck each and last approx as long as a pack of cigs.
