Did you notice the American POW the Afghans are holding actually had clothes on? |
|
Maybe the US should learn something from that.

6. I absolutely cringe everytime I hear the statement issued by the U.S. military saying |
|
Edited on Sun Jul-19-09 05:46 PM by scarletwoman
"This is a violation of international law!"
I think, "Oh really? Are you fucking kidding me? Have you not noticed all the shit that OUR side has done over the past 8 years?"
We have NO moral high ground from which to lecture ANYBODY about "violating international law". NONE.
I am so sick of U.S. militarism and imperialism, literally sickened to my soul.

7. yes, that is cringe worthy |
|
but the OP is absurd, inferring as it does, that somehow these people are humane. They aren't. And the odds that this soldier will be brutally tortured and have his head chopped off, are strong.

He also knows that they will cut his head off if he is not rescued soon.

9. I'm certainly no apologist for the Taliban |
|
but it's relatively easy for them to gain the upper hand - morally - simply by refusing to mistreat US prisoners.

10. So Why is CNN running the Taliban's propaganda on a loop D loop? |
|
Is this supposed to help free the prisoner, if we see him over and over again? Or is CNN a distributing arm of propaganda videos? If I were the family of this man, I'd be fucking pissed.... knowing that the more this man becomes a public pawn, the less of a chance he has to survive.
Oh well, I guess that with CNN and others, News is news when they decide its news and not a moment before, and if it is news that they don't want you to know then it is no longer news....or however that goes.
