How are we going to end this insanity ? |
|
I keep up as much as possible and within reason and come close to the edge of going mad and I must step back.
Look at this mess.
I made the mistake of sitting down while my wife ahd the TV on flipping stations and I saw one commercial after another with someone offering a service whether to get out of depression or tax relief , dept relief , some program offering a "possible" career in criminal or building trades or motor cycle repair and endless streams of ask your doctor about a drug with all the horrid side affects , all selling you some sort of service as if it is free or a free tape that will change your life whether to quite smoking or lose weight. It goes on and on , many have seen this. All of this on top of the talking heads offering their useless opinions none of which really give a shit if you live or die and act as if you are included when they have no idea if you even exist and may even be one digging through their garbage for a meal . They project they are to be trusted and you are their best friend, why ,because they have a certain look.
THen you look at these damn wars , the racism and the sexism that still exists. The blowing up of mountains in WV for "clean coal" and auto companies who never gave a shit about the environment or you or me or the workers and now they have cleansed themselves saying come see what we have built for you at $32,000 because now suddenly they care about the air and we are to buy into this?
This is just big pharma and the all so caring auto corps, the now enlightened , caring corporations if you have a job and the money , if not you are not in the club and fucked.
Then there is Monsanto , creating freak genes and poison called food .
Then we have the makers of bombs and weapons to re-shape the planet into something no one in their right mind could possibly desire besides adding their endless forms of everlasting poison to the earth.
They ALL have an answer as long as there is profit in it and people willing to be test dummies.
In the end we all lose and yet we allow them to divide us and place us in catagories and lable us like plastic wrapped meat in some foresaken grocery store with an expiration date , or do we do this to ourselves?
Think about this in our wonderfull global economy , most everything you buy , eat , wear or drive in made on the back of slave labor and a lie in an ad to keep you from seeing the truth . In that very sense , we are all slave owners and promote this and it now does not have a color or race.

We "normal" ordinary citizens have little or no say in how things play out.
We're too splintered to have a powerful voice...
I'm sorry.

18. I was 31 when Reagan got in . |
|
I knew what he did as governer of Calif and what his position was on any sort of resistence to corporations and how he was made by GE.
I didn't vote for him , a lot of good that did and I tried with others to convince people he was not what we needed and that landed on deaf ears .
Nothing can be done by scattered small groups. As you can see on this forum alone there are many positions battling eachother when all of us suffer and have the same basic needs. I would need a book to describe what I was doing yet not one damn bit if it made any difference . Reagan got in then there was his launch of union destruction and de-regulation yet he belonged to a union and used that against his own people. You also have to include HW in this too on the Iran / contra war front.

have made it pretty clear you have your mind made up. You brought Reagan into this and I told you in brief what I knew and felt , actual personal details are mine. Besides ,isn't it a bit late now , Reaganomics has already done it's damage long ago.
I don't see what your questions have to do with my original post. My post was a very simple observation with an open question.
You are not really interested and I am not going to go along with a carrot on the end of your stick like a fool.
The truth of the matter is I can easily type in any answer here and where am I to prove any of it? You are expecting me to justify myself to you, not going to happen.
I have come across your name before and I have no interest in looking into your posts. I am also not going to get into some open ended dedate with you that you brought here apparently just to create argument. Find someone else. Thank you.

My "mind is made up"? By asking questions that you indicate you could answer with a book but refuse to say anything?
I answered your question, that's "what it has to do with your OP"
OM: "THE WAY TO END IT IS NIP IT IN THE BUD when it's in your face NEXT TIME IF THERE IS ONE just like it has been IN YER FACE since REAGAN and GREED IS GOOD and listen to those of us trying to tell you something ahead of time instead of TELL US THAT WE'RE :tinfoilhat:"
Then your comment about the "ignorant damn fools..."
You replied so I asked you:
"if it was in your face before Reagan and you weren't one of the "ignorant damn fools" what were you doing to prevent the debacle from happening?"
You could say "nothing" that's okay. But say you could write a book and continue to dodge?
I am interested, or I was. Maybe you want to pretend you saw it coming and did something and leave it at that.

7. I share your frustration... |
|
I keep grounded in my faith, and I care for as many people as I can. I even have people challenge me for doing that, and I say, "did Jesus put stipulations on how much I should care before stopping?", shuts em up... and yes, this world is loopy right now, so much suffering and people without while several million jet-set around the globe in their limos and 10 carat diamond rings and mansions, and gripe that they have to pay taxes.... we are in need of a political revolution - people like Mary Landrieu should not be able to call themselves "DEMOCRAT" and be someone that gets elected, they vote for the banks, and insurance industries while 1 out of 9 people are homeless or out of work!
HANG IN THERE and thanks for your post... we all feel like you.

And granted I haven't followed the 'tea baggers' very closely, but the reason for that is they seem to be encouraged by the media pundits who cheerlead the Right, and using a political medium in rhetoric only as the real impetus is white power.

It is, from a distance, pretty ironic that the American people have been subjected to the same strategy that their "representatives" have subjected so many other nations around the world to steal from those nations to create "Amerika". Steal what they have, lend them more than they can pay back to hide the theft, use that inability to pay as the lever to take all they will get.
