CCR Action Alert: Keep provision in NDAA barring private contractors from interrogations

The CCR (Center for Constitutional Rights) just sent out an alert mail calling people to contact their senators and keep in the provision in the current National Defense Authorization Act that bans the use of private military contractors from doing interrogations of detainees. The White House is against this provision and wants it removed. The administration also wants removed a provision that would require video recording of any interrogations as well.

The Obama administration is once again treading down the wrong path with interrogation, state secretes privilege, and other transparency issues in government. We need to make sure congress reminds him why we elected him and that we expect the opposite of this sort of behavior from this administration.

This hasn't been reported too many places either, so we can thank the CCR folks for being good watchdogs for our government's stances on civil liberties!

Please take the time to go to this link and send a note to your senator!
