Is it me or does MSNBC give WAY too much air time to the Rethugs? |
|
I watch MSNBC becasue it's NOT Fox Noise, but I still have to listen to R-Wing talking points all freaking day, every day. They represent roughly 1/3 of the government when you consider they don't have the White House, they occupy only 22 governor's mansions, 40 Senate seats, control 44% of the House, and 5 out of 9 seats on the SC.
Anyone else think we need to hear from their side a little less often given that they don't have anything productive to offer any way?

they're trying to be 'fair and balanced," and they go overboard with the rightwingnuts.
I only half-listen to Tweety and KO and Rachel, although the last two are far more palpable.
Still, they're all shills....................

I screwed that one up, but you caught it and fixed it.
I'm gonna leave it there, in your honor.
Nice catch. Thanks..................

They do give an inordinate amount of airtime to the minority party. Even when GOPers make stupid, inane, and insane comments, CorpMedia is always there to give them airtime...

Andrea Mitchell today was especially egregious - unless you don't count Lie-bermann as a Republican.

7. All the news media fall into the RW trap that All Reporters Are Liberals |
|
Therefore they need a rabid Republican to provide "balance".
Of course reporters aren't really liberal by default - but they are generally honest & sane. The "balance" the GOP provides is dishonest & insane.

14. The media is mostly owned by right wingers |
|
Jack Welch, for example. As head of GE, and therefore boss of NBC, he was very open about how "his" media company should promote his point of view. He considered it a simple business decision, and I expect he's typical in that regard.
It's the corporate media, and we can expect it to line up with corporate interests.
