I demand universal healthcare... |
|
Because when people fail to die conveniently it is expensive. And when people conveniently die it is a societal crime. And that both those who die conveniently and those who do not have lost a portion of their lives they may have enjoyed.
Picture two things-multiple administration felon Richard Cheney and the least of your relatives looking for cardiac care...one will be seen by one of the finest cardiologist in the country and the other may survive with luck.
I had an uncle who died at 56. He took in stray animals and died after a minor traffic accident a block from his home. He was going to pick up the ring for his daughters wedding. He died because there was no defibrillator on the ambulance that first arrived-do you think Cheney has ever been more than 50 feet from a defibrillator and trained personnel in the last decade?
He left 2 birds, a one eyed cat, and a squirrel in his rented apartment. The obit mentioned he was a Korean war vet, but only because his brother (my Dad) paid to have that mentioned. He had seen no doctor in nearly a decade.
He was a lovely man who need not have died-though even with universal health care he may have.
But until the system guarantees that his death was because of a surprising unseen failure that was undetectable rather than something obvious but never even looked for than I'll say this country deserves Richard Cheney and not Richard Allen-a good man and veteran that we lost too soon...

1. Demand universal care and make Cheney pay for it. |

2. Throw a pony and a 12-pack in there... |
|
... as long as someone is making a "demands" list.

3. And hopefully you don't object to paying for it out of your own pocket |
|
and rationing it in some way.
