Bodies of 5 suspected immigrants found in southern Ariz. desert

The U.S. Border Patrol recovered five bodies over the weekend in the southern Arizona desert.

All five were suspected illegal immigrants.

Agents believe at least two of the deaths are heat-related.

The body of a man was found at about 10 a.m. Saturday northwest of Tombstone, said Omar Candelaria, a U.S. Border Patrol Tucson Sector spokesman. The man had been dead for a couple of days and had no identification.
Another man died after agents caught the group of seven illegal immigrants he was with near Ajo, Candelaria said. The man died of exposure shortly after agents made contact with the group.
The body of an illegal immigrant and the skeletal remains of another also were found near Ajo on Saturday, Candelaria said.
A man was found dead Sunday at about 11:30 a.m. near Amado.
Another man who was traveling with the 37-year-old Mexican man flagged down a Border Patrol vehicle and led agents to the body, about four miles east of Interstate 19, Candelaria said.
