Remembering Walter Cronkite: A Legend Who Loved Animals |
Walter Cronkite was a supporter of The HSUS and the recipient, in 1990, of our James Herriot Award. In 2006, HSUS staff member Rob Blizard talked with the veteran broadcaster about his lifelong interest in animals. http://www.hsus.org/humane_living/memorial_and_planned_gifts/hsus-special-friends/walter_cronkite_loving_animals.html

10. Pfft! Freepazoids don't like anyone who is moral |
It doesn't fit the lie behind own their pretense of morality.
I was charmed to learn this about dear old Walter. Another reason to miss one of the last (if not THE last) true newspeople/journalists.

WC was helping the defenseless and innocent. This makes his loss ever more significant.
