HR3200 (Affordable Health Choices Act) Public option start date is not til 2013!!!

We need it to start it BEFORE THE 2010 ELECTIONS OR BEFORE THE 2012 ELECTIONS, or the insurance companies will buy all of the GOPers with massive cash influxes. And a few Dem's too....

A 2012 start date could easily cost us the elections.

IMHO

The bill states:

"P. 116 - Subtitle B--Public Health Insurance Option

SEC. 221. ESTABLISHMENT AND ADMINISTRATION OF A PUBLIC HEALTH INSURANCE OPTION AS AN EXCHANGE-QUALIFIED HEALTH BENEFITS PLAN.

(a) ESTABLISHMENT.--For years beginning with Y1, the Secretary of Health and Human Services (in this sub- title referred to as the ''Secretary'') shall provide for the offering of an Exchange-participating health benefits plan (in this division referred to as the ''public health insurance option'') that ensures choice, competition, and stability of affordable, high quality coverage throughout the United States in accordance with this subtitle. In designing the option, the Secretary's primary responsibility is to create a low-cost plan without comprimising quality or access to
care. "

2. Reminds me of the 9 month delay in the credit reform bill
All that did was give the criminal banking industry plenty of time to screw over the maximum number of customers.

3. I'm beginning to think
There is so much industry payola money in DC that no one really wants Health Care Reform.

4. That has become obvious
to me. They will please their "constituents" and we little people are left in the cold, until they need us again. I am beginning to think Obama is going up against a brick wall.

5. Not acceptable. How many will get sick, die, lose everything
they have or go into great debt for lack of insurance while this delay is going on?.

2013--4 years. We need insurance now. When we talk of healthcare we mean now, not sometime down the road. Just think how much back room politics will transpire during that time.

Things like this make me lose even more faith in this government. I'm sure when the president said he wants healthcare for all of us, he did not mean 4 years down the road.

My day just got worse.

6. “People don’t have time to wait,” Obama said. “They need relief now." LINK
“People don’t have time to wait,” Obama said. “They need relief now. So my attitude is let’s build up the system we got, let’s make it more efficient, we may be over time—as we make the system more efficient and everybody’s covered—decide that there are other ways for us to provide care more effectively.”

7. Insurance company cash will be bi-partisan
They'll be out to buy Democrats as well as Republicans. Both are for sale.

What, they want to wait and get another goddamn Republican illegally occupying our White House? If they don't do this now, that's what will happen!
