What are the birthers really fighting against, Obama or the 14th Amendment?

Obama will come and go, but the 14th Amendment will be here to stay.

And the 14th Amendment has been a real thorn in the side of the extreme right and the racist right ever since it has been created.

Most of the birther arguments out there seem to just deny the existence of the 14th Amendment:
Obama is not a citizen because his father was not a citizen (Citing a law from 1790 that is overruled by the 14th Amendment)
For some reason they say that since Obama's mother was only 18, that means she has not been a full citizen for the time required, and hence Obama is not a natural born citizen (What?)

Is it a coincidence that one of the Amendments the extreme right hates the most is treated like it is invisible by the birthers?

I was just curious about what you guys think about the crazy GOP asking for Obama's Birth Certificate? And how come no one is questioning McCain's Birth Certificate? Also Why should Obama present a Birth Certificate, when Arnold, who is GOVERNOR of California, and who is not a natural US born citizen? Looks to me that the RULES apply when it comes to someone who is colored must show their Birth Certificate.

I found this the other day from this site http://forums.hannity.com/showthread.php?t=1006421 I found this to be very interesting, and these crazy GOP are asking for Obama's Birth Certificate! What is up with all of this crazy nonsense?!
