Actor Stephen Baldwin Files For Bankruptcy - the RW Fundy Baldwin
Edited on Tue Jul-21-09 05:33 PM by RamboLiberal
Actor Stephen Baldwin filed for bankruptcy on Tuesday in a New York court.

The 43-year-old actor filed for Chapter 11 protection claiming he owes more than $2.3 million and owns a New York property valued at only $1.1 million. His wife, Kennya Baldwin, also is named in the document.
Baldwin has had a rough time of late. Earlier this month a homeless man he let live on his property was arrested on heroin charges.

That occurred shortly after Baldwin returned from the jungle in late June, where he was a contestant on "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here," which he abruptly left. He quit citing extreme bug bites.

And earlier in June his home faced foreclosure.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/07/21/stephen-baldwin-files-for_n_242335.html

His bankruptcy petition says his Upper Grandview, N.Y., home is worth $1.1 million, but he owes $1.19 million on two mortgages. Big income tax troubles are also evident from the court filing, with $749,974 owed to the IRS on taxes as far back as 1999 and a $139,288 debt for unpaid withholding taxes, as well as $194,527 in unpaid state income taxes.

The youngest of the acting Baldwin brothers also has more than $70,000 in credit card debt to shake, according to court documents.

The filing lists no assets, other than the mortgaged-to-the rooftop house. Even Baldwin’s “HM” tattoo, which he agreed to get in a deal that allowed him to appear on Miley Cyrus’s show, is not listed as an asset.

Court papers are also silent on the born-again Baldwin’s ventures in Christian ministry, which began, according to Wikipedia, after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, and were supposed somehow to make money.

10. Unfortunately, The Way Things Go These Days... He'll Get A DEAL!!!
I can see it now... Guys, let's make a deal? Sure, DONE!!

I WONDER why in his family he's a Repuke?? Many may have their problems with Alec, but I LOVE him and I KNOW he's my kind of liberal. Hot temper and all! Don't condone screaming, but then I have kids and I can tell you... I've had MY moments too!

My daughter once threw a fit at a store because she couldn't have the "name brand" she wanted, I told her she was not only making a scene, but was acting like a spoiled brat!! The person helping us said "good for you!" She DIDN'T get anything because of how she acted!

It was on Hulu.com, but it's not there anymore. It's not on Fancast either. I watched all the episodes. Glad I saw them before they were taken off. But when he left, he did not mention bug bites as the reason.

Edited on Tue Jul-21-09 07:22 PM by Bucky
I was about to say "in his bad luck" but I guess 70,000 in debts and 700,000 dollars in back taxes isn't a matter of luck. Still, I guess Neil Cavuto won't be inviting him back on the show as a financial adviser any time soon.

But what kind of judgment do you expect from a guy who gets an HM tattoo just to get into a teenybopper concert?

37. Nothing wrong with a little schadenfreude once in a while.
And the tattoo was not to get into a concert, but to get on her show. No idea why he thought going on the show would help his career (such as it is).
