Faux News "No Chubbies" t-shirt idiot says Dr. Regina Benjamin too fat

In what has to be among Fox News' all-time lowlights, Neil Cavuto had a segment a short while ago on whether the new surgeon general nominee, Dr. Regina M. Benjamin, is "too fat" for the post. Seriously. In support of this argument, they had on as a guest some guy wearing a "No Chubbies" T-shirt. Again, I'm serious.

2. Somebody needs to remind these assholes
(and some of these assholes are on DU) that women should not be hired for their looks in any profession that isn't in front of the camera.

I'm sure Dr. Benjamin knows she's gotten too heavy to be a runway model. I'm sure it doesn't affect her ability to do her job and do it well.

Fuck the fat police!

4. The "chubby hater" asshole has a bad history
He was run out of Denver - his 2 gyms closed for non-payment of taxes and is the subject of several harrassment lawsuits.

Color me surprised that Cluster Fux would drag out this jackass NOT!

The worse it gets, the better it gets for Michael Karolchyk, owner of the Anti-Gym, which shut down Wednesday.

At least thath’s what he thinks.

The Denver fitness club became famous for insulting its clients by calling them chubbies and throwing cupcakes at them during workouts.

Karolchyk told me Friday that the IRS caused the closure.

“For two years I’ve been fighting an IRS claim for back taxes,” he said. “My legal team made the decision.”

http://blogs.denverpost.com/husted/2009/01/30/denvers-anti-gym-shuttered-by-irs-karolchyk-vows-to-move-on/

While Karolchyk was spending thousands on television commercials and full-page ads in glossy magazines, he was apparently neglecting to pay unemployment and payroll taxes. According to documents filed with Denver County, Karolchyk is on the hook for at least $184,078.76. The IRS filed its first lien last April for an unpaid balance of $115,978.56 accrued during the first nine months of 2007. Last September, they slapped Karolchyk again, this time with a lien for $68,100.20.

No word yet on whether Karolchyk has any debts from his 2008 taxes. But it's clear that the IRS will be giving the Anti-Gym's tax filing a thorough workout.

I shouldn't be surprised by this statement, though. For the wingnuts, everything is surface over substance.

13. More on this No Chubbies numbnuts
Two weeks ago the Internal Revenue Service shut down the "Anti-Gym" for non-payment of payroll taxes. Somehow many of the gym's records turned up outside in the trash. CBS4 Investigator Rick Sallinger was alerted and recovered some of them. The documents included information that could be used for anything from identity theft to even blackmail.

There was information about gay relationships, divorces, clients on birth control, those with breast enlargements and more.

-----

Many clients of the gym shared private details of their lives with their trainers. Some of that information ended up in writing later left in the trash for anyone to see.

There's a woman who hoped she didn't have lymphoma. Another had breast cancer; while another revealed she had breast augmentation.

There were also notes that seem to be by a trainer about his clients, including some very negative words with expletives.

-----

The Anti-Gym worked hard to retain its clients. Personal information containing reasons why some stopped coming came was kept in folders. A man's breakup with his boyfriend is noted. In an email, a woman revealed to her trainer that her husband doesn't want to be married anymore.

16. Ha Ha and he even lost on The People's Court
Too bad it wasn't Judge Judy.

You remember Michael Karolchyk — the chubby-hating owner of Denver's controversial Anti-Gym. He throws cupcakes at people who aren't working out hard enough. He posts a Fatso List on the wall. He has been called "The Most Hated Man in Denver."

But he met his match on an upcoming episode of "The People's Court."

Seems Nancy Fitzgerald, host of the Denver-based cable show "American Woman" (for times, check out myamericanwoman.com), had a cash-and-trade deal with Karolchyk for appearances on the show. Fitzgerald claims he failed to pay the cash portion. Karolchyk claims she stopped working out and turned into a chubby.

Next stop: "The People's Court"!

Fitzgerald was set to go to small-claims court with Karolchyk when he suggested they try one of the court TV shows. She thought it might be a good idea.
