Mysteries of our age: I can think of at least three off the top of
my head. They're all pretty serious:

Who Killed JFK?

What happened to Jimmy Hoffa?

What's the frequency, Kenneth?

Can you add your favorite?

9-11. We have not fully investigated 9-11, and while I'm not all looney about it, a dignified investigation with full subpoena power ought be encouraged,

6. I think certain events that day were never examined.
Apparently, Dick Cheney was giving orders from the bunker. And why did George spend the day hopping from hiding place to hiding place. Sure sounds like LIHOP, but when it happened, it was way bigger then they expected, so they panicked. (As in, Al-Quada took out both Twin Tower and the Pentagon and almost got another plane to DC, maybe they have an assassination squad out there!)

52. GREAT QUESTION. So many un-answered questions....
if the answer was "honest & true" it would have been answered already by now, wouldn't it?

So OBVIOUSLY, the answer to your question is NOT "honest & true". Deceit is in the 'air', at EVERY turn.

34. I Think it May be that Britney is More of a Performer
She "sings" (barely can) but she can dance(quite well) at the same time also to compensate for her weak vocal range. However, Christina has the complete opposite problem she can match any soul or R & B singer to the T, but she cannot dance. She just stands there and sings.

arranged the murder of MLK? I never could figure out how James Earl Ray got himself out of the country so fast. Foreign travel just wasn't as casual back then as it is now. Someone arranged for him to leave the country.

"Legacy of Secrecy/The Long Shadow of the JFK Assassination" (Counterpoint, 848 pages, $33), by Lamar Waldron with Thom Hartmann: A new, heavily researched book on John F. Kennedy's murder and its investigation sees links with a bagful of sensational stories, from President Johnson's fear of a nuclear attack by the Soviets to the killing of Martin Luther King Jr.

Edited on Tue Jul-21-09 08:45 PM by hfojvt
He was killed by the mob. The murderer was never caught, but I would bet there are thousands of unsolved murders every year. Real life is not as easy as NCIS.

edit: I am also still wondering who put the bomp in the bomp bomp bomp?

31. and what difference does it make?
unlike the Kennedy or King assassinations, the group behind it did not really change the course of history. It's a mystery, but what makes it more important than the missing woman in the Kansas City area or the missing TV reporter from Mason City, Iowa or any other open story from "48 Hours Mystery"?

'High as a kite’ wallabies blamed for crop circles

Australian marsupials wreak havoc after munching on opium poppies

SYDNEY, Australia - Wallabies snacking in Tasmania's legally grown opium poppy fields are getting "high as a kite" and hopping around in circles, trampling the crops, a state official said.

Tasmania Attorney-General Lara Giddings told a budget hearing Wednesday that she had recently read about the kangaroo-like marsupials' antics in a brief on the state's large poppy industry. Tasmania is the world's largest producer of legally grown opium for the pharmaceutical market.

"We have a problem with wallabies entering poppy fields, getting as high as a kite and going around in circles," The Mercury newspaper quoted Giddings as telling the hearing. "Then they crash. We see crop circles in the poppy industry from wallabies that are high."

What makes all the Presidents' hair turn grey so quickly?

And I definitely don't buy "stressful job" as an answer, they can chill pretty much whenever they want to (look at Bush!) and live in the lap of luxury. Plus there are plenty of CEO's in "high stress" jobs that keep their color just fine (certainly not GONE within 4-8 years!).
