The AP bias is so obvious - Or is it just me ?!? |
|
Edited on Wed Jul-22-09 12:29 AM by AzNick
Current pieces in My Yahoo:
"Senate sides with Obama, removes F-22 money" "Democrats divided on health care overhaul"
Obviously the goal is to bash the President and the Dems in a one-liner each time.
Here is how I feel these one-liners are supposed to be translated:
"Obama against cool futuristic jet fighter funding" "The Democrats can't do anything, disagree with each other and are going nowhere"
Is it just me ?!?

6. I know, you know, but many will read "cut and run" |

Yet more than 40% of our taxes go to our war machine.
The F22 is a cool plane, but we have enough. In case of a conflict with another country with super cool airplanes, we will have the upper-hand, but chances of this happening are minute.
And once the F22 have taken out the most advanced of the enemy's aircraft, our less advanced aircraft will take over.
The new JSF is also very advanced, is shared by the Navy, Air Force and Marines, as well as a bunch of nations. It will bring in money to help reduce its cost.
The F22 is exclusive to the US, as it carries a bunch of technologies we cannot export. It also does not have a Navy version.
Once we reduce our military budget to a more manageable 25 to 30% (and that's if we are still in A. and out of I.), we should be able to use our money more wisely.

4. I notice the bias mostly on the cable news networks. |
|
For instance, whenever they "discuss" reforming healthcare, they pick anti-health care reformers as guests. Their "man on the street" segments all criticize health care reform, or say it worries them. CNN espcially tries to cast doubts on whether or not reform can be fair or even realistic. I'm sure the insurance industry and the pharmaceutical giants have alot of pull and can use the media to its own benefit.

And I'll be damned if I know why "liberal" radio networks carry that shit.
