Does Couric wonder how these workers can reconcile vacations while other Americans are unemployed, and would she like to be in the dentist's chair for root canal with a dentist who has not had a break for an extended period?

The bureau chief says, "Well, you could make it a little less brutal by knocking a million or two off your salary" to which Bill gives him an icy stare. The chief immediately caves saying "That was a bad joke, brought about by stress."
