Just to be clear about "public option" health insurance....

I'm a Federal employee and as such I get to choose from a list of PRIVATE insurance plans, as well as some UNION funded plans, at the end of every year that take effect for the following year.

This is the same for Congress.

Now when they talk of a "Public Option" for health insurance are they talking about allowing the public generally to have the same "Option" as Federal employees? That is, pick from a list of private plans? Or are they talking about implementing a Medicare Style Plan where everyone and anyone could buy into?

I just don't want us to be hoodwinked by these words of "public option"......I've seen how they corrupted "Universal Healthcare" into meaning everyone has insurance - not meaning everyone is covered by a single-payer system....

They're good at twisting words and their meanings....
