July 22 (Bloomberg) -- House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said today she has the votes to pass health-care overhaul legislation in the House.

Leaders are “making progress” with Democrats who want more cost cuts in the health-care system, Pelosi, a California Democrat, told reporters. “I have no doubt we have the votes on the floor of the House to pass this legislation,” she said. She added that she wants to squeeze more cost savings out of the system before setting a surtax on wealthier Americans’ incomes.

Let's hope she's not blowing smoke.

So no surprise if they suddenly start acting like real congress people and passing some laws.
Those bills have to go the Seante.
THAT is where the real fun begans.
Meanwhile, Nancy can act all progressive and democratic and etc. for the election.

As for me, I will not forget that Impeachment was off Nancy's table very early on.
Or forget the wiretapping.
Or forget that after voting NO on the bailout the first time, Nancy's House passed the
Senate version of the bailout the 2nd time around.
